Jocelyn Barner, DPT (Physical Therapy + Pilates)

Jocelyn received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St Augustine, in San Diego, and completed a Post-Doctorate Mentorship program with a focus on Manual Therapy. She has 12+ years of experience working with patients, and her treatment and Plan of Care are manually based and serve to improve body mechanics, mobility, strength, and overall health.

She founded Physio Pilates to incorporate her love of movement and promote transformative change and improvement in her patients. Some of her specialty practice areas are Pilates-based physical therapy, Manual Therapy, Pelvic Floor health, and Dry Needling.

Jocelyn is passionate about helping patients gain strength and confidence in their bodies through movement and loves utilizing physical therapy to teach people how to care for themselves and find longevity in the activities they love.

Charisse Mersman (Pilates + Movement)

Charisse is a native of Kansas City, MO. She moved to NYC in 1998 to study with Alvin Ailey at "The Ailey School". Throughout her professional dance career, she discovered the benefits of Pilates and became certified in 2008 through, The Physical Mind Institute and "The Lab" with Lawson Harris in Dumbo Brooklyn.

She has spent the last 15 years in NYC fine-tuning her teaching style. Working with clients from all over the world, in different chapters of their lives, has taught her that everyone needs and deserves nourishing movement to strengthen muscles and inform the mind/body connection. 

Charisse has always been passionate about movement and self-expression.  She feels that Pilates has been the ultimate injury prevention method and system that has kept not only her body strong but her mind sharp as well.

She loves to help clients become stronger, more knowledgeable about their bodies, and teaches methods on how to maintain desired goals.

Tara McKeon, DPT (Physical Therapy)

Tara received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University, graduating with honors. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Delaware.

She is passionate about helping active individuals feel strong, confident, and capable in their bodies. She specializes in orthopedic rehab and pelvic floor, with a focus on prenatal and postpartum care, as well as supporting recreational athletes and weekend warriors.

Her approach is hands-on, holistic, and personalized — blending rehab with strength training to improve movement patterns, prevent injury, and build lasting resilience. Whether guiding clients back to activity after an injury or helping them reach their next fitness goal, Tara supports them every step of the way.

Outside of the clinic, Tara enjoys exercising, hiking, and exploring new neighborhoods, eclectic restaurants, and unique recipes.

Stephanie Denis (Physical Therapy)

Stephanie has over a decade of experience as a PTA and specializes in therapeutic exercises and manual techniques like myofascial release and cupping.

She is driven by coffee and seeing her clients reach their rehabilitation goals!

Stephanie keeps her sessions effective but lighthearted and believes recovery happens faster when hard work is mixed with a few laughs.

Elizaveta Verbovaya (Pilates + Stretch Lab + Nutrition Consulting)

Elizaveta is your dedicated Pilates coach, stretching expert, and certified nutritionist.

As a former national-level rhythmic gymnast and now a coach preparing athletes for competition, Elizaveta has seen firsthand how discipline, motivation, and a tailored approach lead to real results. She always starts by listening to her client's goals and by creating an open space to unlock their full potential.

Pilates is part of her daily life and the foundation of her coaching. Combined with her expertise in nutrition, she guides clients to strengthen their bodies from the inside out through movement, mindful habits, and nourishing choices.

Tushar Indrekar (Physical Therapy)

Tushar is originally from India, but now proud to call New York City his second home. He thrives on the energy and drive of this incredible city—it inspires him to work harder and help others do the same every day.

As a therapist, Tushar helps clients manage pain and improve their quality of life. With hands-on experience in post-surgical rehabilitation across orthopedic, neuromuscular, and cardiovascular conditions, he helps support clients with recovery and overall wellness through a holistic approach.

Anayely Cuacuamoxtla (Massage)

With over 13 years of experience in massage therapy, Anayely specializes in deep tissue, sports massage, relaxing Swedish massage, and certified prenatal care. Her approach blends therapeutic precision with a focus on client comfort and recovery.

As a Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, Anayely brings a unique, functional understanding of the body and movement to every session — helping clients recover, relax, and perform at their best.

Mal Ortiz (Pilates)

Mal is a Stott Pilates certified instructor with a background in movement and kinesiology. They have also competed training with Basi Pilates and Equinox. They received their BA in Dance and Theatre Arts from Loyola Marymount University.

Pilates has been a part of their life since their early training as a dancer and has cultivated in them a strong drive to help people feel great in their bodies and enjoy healthy movement and longevity.

They firmly believe that Pilates is for all bodies and has something to offer everyone. They specialize in Pilates for dancers and Pilates as injury prevention and rehabilitation, but enjoy teaching all levels and meeting clients where they are in their practice.

Kathleen Boddington (Pilates + Reiki)

Kathleen is an experienced Pilates/Yoga instructor and has practiced yoga for 25 years and Pilates for 10 years. Recently she decided to take her passion for her practice to another level and beginning teaching to help improve and enrich other’s lives through movement. She wanted to share the benefits of yoga and Pilates with others as she knew how both practices had helped enhance her own life.

She has always been passionate about fitness having been a marathon runner, dancer, yogi, and cyclist. She has found that Pilates and yoga helped her avoid and recover from injuries.

She lives on the Upper West Side in New York with her two rescue kitties, Bodhi and Teddy and when she is not teaching, you can find her out and about on her yellow bike.

Shauna Jenkisson (Pilates)

After majoring in dance at Long Island University, Shauna began a career dedicated to promoting a somatic relationship between the mind and the body. Shauna obtained her Pilates certification at PhysicalMind Institute and an additional certification from IM=X Pilates, a specialized Hybrid Pilates strength training technique.

Shauna brings more than 10 years of experience providing instruction to a diverse clientele, from the corporate world to personalized work with boutique Pilates studios, as well as work in post-rehabilitation at The Hospital For Special Surgery. Her passion for somatic intelligence and an intuitive teaching style cultivates an amalgam of balance, strength, agility, and well-being.

Carla Tarantino (Massage)

Carla has been practicing massage therapy for over 20 years. She received her training at the Swedish Institute in New York City.

She is a trained classical dancer and uses her background in dance to better understand and care for the body and various injuries. Her work is best described as deep tissue relaxing massage using detailed techniques as well as slow myo facial movements. She is very intuitive while working and wants her clients to be vocal about what they need or are trying to achieve with the session. Clients say they feel lighter more relaxed and less pain.

Carla can also help with overall body health nutrition exercises, lifestyle, etc., and always spends a few minutes before the session to discuss individual wellness goals to ensure a personalized experience.
